Their aims are to promote and encourage interest in genealogy and family history, to educate the public in the best ways to conduct genealogy and to aid genealogical research.

Mary C Norbut has completed research of the descendants of certain persons which include Nicholas Antoine Boyer, John Robert/Robart, Francois Ricard/Recar and Hugh O'Doherty/Daugherty. These, and other books, are also available to purchase.
Website:The association was established in 1980 and now has over 150 members. Many resources are accessible in their library at Alton Public Library, which include approximately 550 Books, 1850-1920 Census Returns and Newspapers from 1898-1940's.
