The association aims to aid people researching their genealogy, specifically in the area of the Isle of Axholme.  They can help you discover more about your ancestors and learn more about their lives.

In the North-Western corner of the old county of Lincolnshire, separated from the rest of the county by the River Trent, the Isle of Axholme covers an area of approximately 80 square miles.

The River Trent is its eastern boundary, and the Old River Don separates the Isle of Axholme from Yorkshire to the north and to the west. River Idle forms its border with Nottinghamshire.

Many photographs are accessible on their site.

Many books are held by the Society, but these can only be accessed by members attending the monthly meetings in Epworth.  Topics covered by the books include:

Lincolnshire Family History Society was founded in 1990 and covers Holland, Kesteven and Lindsey, which are the three parts of the historic county of Lincolnshire. It now has over 2000 members Worldwide.
