County and Other Societies

Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society

The association was established in 2005 and is based on Bainbridge Island.  Members study their ancestry across the US and the entire world.  

Members have roots in New England, Ireland, Scotland, Scandinavia, Europe, Canada and the West Indies.  Anyone is welcome to visit or to join the association.

The association has a Library where a number of archives are available, which incorporate:

  • Genealogies
  • Marriages
  • Passenger and Immigration Lists.
  • Reference Books
  • Town Histories
  • UK National Burial Index
  • World Family Trees

These archives do not only relate to the area of Bainbridge Island, but further afield.

Belfair Genealogical Society

Many databases are accessible, which incorporate Marriage Applications 1891-1909, Obituaries and Cemetery Transcripts.


Chelan Valley Genealogical Society

Many archives are available in Chelan Public Library which incorporate:

Clallam County Genealogical Society

The association has a Lending Library where many books are available, which include information regarding:

An index of Obituaries from 1888 to 1970 is accessible and this index was compiled from Notices found in the Port Angles Evening News, The Daily News, The Sequim Press and various other Publications. 

The association also has Photographs of Obituaries appearing in Newspapers and other Publications from 1971 and, for a fee, are prepared to send a copy of the appropriate Obituary.


Clark County Genealogical Society

The association has a Library where a number of archives are available, which include Items from all US States and several Foreign Countries.  They also have numerous genealogies.
