Whitman County Genealogical Society

Yakima Valley Genealogical Society

The society was established in 1967, and now has approximately 2148 members from all over the world, including England and Wales.  Its aims are to promote and encourage interest in genealogy and history, to preserve our ancestors' records, to prepare and index genealogical and historical records, and to publish bulletins and books. 

Many archives can be accessed in their Library, which include over 18000 Books and approximately 3500 Microfilms and Microfiche.

Some databases are accessible, which include Cemetery Records, Obituaries, Shaw and Sons Funeral Home Books and the Yakima School Census.

A list of surnames currently being researched by Members is also available.
