Nelson County Historical Society

The aim of the association is to preserve the archives of the area.  The association has a Library where many archives are available, which incorporate Cemetery Transcripts, School Records, Church Records and Histories.

Archives also incorporate Community Histories, Family Histories, Items relating to Nelson Co. History and Information about Historic Homes.

They publish a newsletter and back issues from February 2011 to August 2013 are available to view on the site.

They also sell a Book about the Cemeteries in the area.

New Kent Historical Society

The association has Birth, Marriages and Death Notices dating from the 1600's.
