Texas City Ancestry Searchers

The society was established in 1976, its aim being to promote and encourage interest in genealogy.

Galveston Co. Tombstone Inscriptions are available through the association.

Van Zandt County Genealogical Society

A number of archives are accessible at the Library of Genealogy and Local History which is located at the Co. Courthouse Annex, Terrell St. and Hwy 19, Canton, Texas. 

These archives include a Surname File, Civil War Files, Vertical Family Files which incorporate Family Research Material gathered over 10 years, Books, Periodicals, Quarterlies, Microfilm, Microfiche, CDs and Oral Histories.

Victoria County Genealogical Society

A Table of Contents for Past Issues of their Quarterly Publication is accessible on the site.

Walker County Genealogy Society

A number of archives are available in Huntsville Public Library, which comprise:

As the association is an Affiliate of the LDS Library in Salt Lake City, it is possible to order Microfilm and Microfiche from the LDS Library and view it at the Facility.

A number of Databases and Indexes are on-line, which include Cemetery Indexes, Walker Co. History Books and the Texas Tides Project.  

Some publications are available for sale, which incorporate Cemetery Books and a Surname Index of the 1870 Census for the area.
