County and Other Societies

Pee Dee Genealogical Society

A number of archives are available in Marion County Archives and History Centre, which include Probate Rolls 1800-c1920, Will Books 1800-1914, Deeds 1800-1906, Plat Books, Books, Family Group Sheets, Charts, Newsletters and Maps. 

They also have early volumes of the South Carolina Law Reports which incorporate Supreme Court and Appeals Court Cases from Marion and surrounding Counties. 

Other documents are also available, which incorporate Abstracts of Records from Marion and the adjoining Counties of Williamsburg, Marlboro, Florence and Darlington. 

They also have Abstracts of Records from Bladen, Columbus and Robeson Counties.  Documents also include WPA SC Tombstone Inscriptions and an Index to SC Death Certificates.
