Brooklyn Historical Society

The association was established in 1863 as the Long Island Historical Society. Their aim is to promote and encourage the study of the history of Brooklyn County.

Many archives are accessible in their Library, which include Brooklyn and Manhattan Directories, Eardeley NYS Wills Names Index & Eardeley Manuscripts, Brooklyn and Long Island Scrapbooks(Newspaper Clippings from 1860s-1960s).

Buffalo Irish Genealogical Society

Cayuga-Owasco Lakes Historical Society

Their aim is to preserve the heritage and history of the Moravia area.  They also collect and preserve records relating to Millard Fillmore, 13th President of the United States, who came from the Moravia area.
