Benton County Genealogical Society

The association, a chapter of Iowa Genealogical Society, was established in 1997.  Their aims are to promote and encourage an interest in genealogy, to preserve genealogical and historical data, to help the public with their genealogical research and to establish and maintain a genealogy library.

The organisation has many resources that are accessible in Blairstown Public Library.

Cedar County Genealogical Society

The society was established on 15 January 1991.  Its aims are to promote and encourage interest in genealogy and family history, to preserve family histories in Cedar County, to preserve genealogical data, to maintain a genealogical collection and to encourage family reunions.

The organisation has an extensive collection of resources that are accessible at Ms Mollys store, 421 Cedar Street, Tipton.  Resources relate to Cedar County and the surrounding area.
