This section lists county associations from Henry to McDonogh providing details about each one and what resources and publications they offer.

Henry County Genealogical Society

The association was established in 1983.  There is an alphabetical listing of Certified Pioneers who lived in Henry County prior to 1837 up to 1885 on the site.  Their Library is located in Kewanee Public Library and they hold an extensive number of resources, a list of which is available on the site. 

This includes some resources relating to other states in America and further afield, such as England and Wales.  A list of publications is also available, which include:

Kane County Genealogical Society

The association was established in 1977.  They have a Master Every Name Index, which includes indexes to:

Kankakee Valley Genealogical Society

A Master Cemetery Burial List is available on the site, which is a list of burials in the area prior to 1920.  Please note this is a work in progress.

Lee County Historical and Genealogical Society

Members of the society are able to search resources at their centre, which is located at 113 S. Hennepin Ave. Dixon, IL 61021.

McDonogh County Genealogical Society

The association has a Research Centre which is located at 201 S. Lafayette Street, Macomb within the Western Illinois Museum. 

Many resources are accessible, including over 1000 books and microfilms of Census Returns, Land Records, Church Registers, Newspapers and a list of cemeteries in the area.  The association also offers a research service.
