This section lists the state-wide associations from the Ancestry Society to the Society of Genealogists.  It then lists the county association of Middlesex giving details about each one and what resources and publications they offer.

Connecticut Ancestry Society

The association was established in 1954 and now has members throughout North America.  Their site gives details about their publication which was first published as the Bulletin in 1958, becoming known as Connecticut Ancestry in 1971. The publication is published quarterly and has approximately 40 pages in each issue.

It is possible to purchase back issues and name indexes of this journal from the site.  

They also have some other publications for sale, which include:

Connecticut Society of Genealogists

The association was established in 1968.  Their site gives details of their extensive range of books and publications that are accessible in their Library. 

Some of these resources include:

County Societies


Middlesex Genealogical Society

The association was established in 1982.  Darien was previously known as Middlesex and that is where the name of the association originates.

They have a number of books which are accessible at The Darien Library.  The Darien Library also has an extensive collection of resources relating to Genealogy.   These relate to:
