Queensland (C-Z)

Central Queensland Family History Association

The association was established in 1986 and their aim is to make genealogical resources available for people wishing to conduct genealogical research. They have club rooms in Rockhampton.  

They have a wide range of articles and indexes, which include Cemetery Inscriptions, Post Office Directories, Rockhampton Residents, Shipping Indexes and Schooling Indexes.

They also have a number of publications for sale, which include:

  • Dunwich Benevolent Asylum Weekly Returns 1885-1907

  • Index to Non Europeans in the state

Gold Coast Family History Society

The association was established in 1979. They have an extensive collection of resources in their library, which includes some records relating to England and Wales.  Their site also contains a list of Members Interests which can be downloaded in PDF Format.

Logan River and District Family History Society

Their website gives details of their extensive library catalogue of resources, some of which relate to England and Wales.  Resources include:

Queensland Family History Society

The association was founded in 1979.  Their site gives details of their extensive list of holdings which are accessible in their library and resource centre, some of which relate to  England and Wales.

Queensland Genealogical Society

The association was founded in 1978.  Since 1993, the association has filmed and indexed Baptism, Marriage and Burial Records for over 40 Catholic parishes in the South East of the state and have indexed records for a number of cemeteries.

They have also developed the Muster Roll 1859-1901 to celebrate the state's 150th Anniversary.  Their site also contains a list of Member's Interests.
