This section lists New South Wales associations from Coffs Harbour District to Hurstville giving details about each one and what resources and publications they offer.

New South Wales (C-H)

Coffs Harbour District Family History Society

The area covered by the association covers Red Rock in the north, south to Urunga and inland covering Deer Vale, Tyringham and Dundarrabin.  They have a research centre where many records are available.

Their site contains details of their extensive list of resources, some of which relate to England and Wales, which can be accessed at the Research Centre, located at 169 Rose Avenue, Coffs Harbour.  Their journal, 'Genie Allergy', is published quarterly.

Cowra Family History Group

The Group was established in 1983 and now has over 100 members.  It has undertaken an ongoing project which aims to list numerous burials within a 50km radius of Cowra.  They also have a list of Members Interests.

Dubbo and District Family History Society

The association has a number of publications for sale, which include:

Griffith Genealogical and Historical Society

The association was founded in 1981. 

They have a comprehensive Library Catalogue of their holdings.  Their range of resources is extensive, with items from both Australia and Overseas, including some from England and Wales.

Holroyd Family History Group

The Group was established in 1997 to help members who wished to conduct research into their genealogy.  Their journal, Holroyd Happenings, is published twice a year in June and December. 

They do not hold specific information about the surname Holroyd but they do have a Holroyd surname page, which gives details of where you can find information about the surname.

Hurstville Family History Society

The association was founded in 1987 to encourage and promote the study of genealogy. 

They have some publications for sale, which include:

  • Hurstville Pioneers Down Under (background of people buried in St Georges Anglican Church in Hurstville)
  • Kogarah Pioneers Down Under (St Paul's Anglican Church in Kogarah and the background of those buried in the graveyard)
