This section lists the county associations from Lake Havasu to West Valley giving details about each one and what resources and publications they offer.

County and other Societies

Lake Havasu Genealogical Society

They have an extensive number of documents, which include books, CD-ROMs, microfiche and microfilm that are accessible in their library.  Documents include:

  • Genealogies
  • Military Records
  • Naturalisation Records
  • Vital Records

The archives do not just cover Arizona, but other states across the US.  Some of them also relate to England and Wales.

They also have numerous tapes that can be borrowed from the Library to use at home.  Titles include:

  • Irish Fundamentals
  • Irish Property - Tax and Census Records

Pima County Genealogy Society

They have details of sites that may be useful if you wish to research your genealogy in Arizona. 

They also have a list of other Genealogy sites, some of which relate to England and Wales. 

They also provide details of cemeteries in the area.

A list of Special Interest Groups is on the site, which include:

They also have a list of surnames currently being researched by members.


Sun City Vistoso Genealogical Society

They have an online catalogue of books which are available within their two rooms at the Vistoso Center.  These rooms are known as The Family History Education and Research Centre.  Some of their resources relate to England and Wales.  

It is also possible to peruse an online catalogue of their resources.


West Valley Genealogical Society

The association was established in 1972, its aim being to research, record and share genealogical information.  It started with 36 charter members but now has over 700.  

They have an on-line catalogue on their site, some of the resources relating to England and Wales.  A list of Obituaries from 1963 to date is also available, which can be searched on the site.
